On Friday, Tyler and I went in for the twenty four week checkup to see how our girl was doing! It was a quick appointment, we got to hear her little heart beat and so far everything is perfect! Her heartbeat is now at 134BPM and she is really active these days! I felt her kick for the first time about a month ago, and since then she has really stepped her dance moves up! She seems to be really calm, like her mom :)
I am really loving this time! We are having so much fun loving on the bump these days, and we cannot wait to meet our sweet girl this November!
I have been living in dresses all summer long, it has been so hot here in Dallas!! This little Lauren James dress is from last season, but she has the cutest casual dresses. They are so lightweight and perfect for this +100 degree heat! You can shop HERE

Now for the  E X C I T I N G  news
After months and months of deliberating we finally have a name for Baby B...

Ella Jane Barnett

We cannot wait to welcome you into this world in a few short months! We have gone back and forth a million times between a few names and this was just our favorite! We plan on calling her by her full name, Ella Jane.
Both Ella and Jane have sentimental value and come from family names on both of our sides of the family.
This tiny onesie with lemons and grapefruits on it was the first thing I got to monogram this weekend- which is perfect because last week she was the size of a grapefruit!! Also, since I have downloaded The Bump app it's an app that lets you know the size of your baby and new developments every week I have had Tyler guess every Friday how big she is... Literally since week 12 he has been saying grapefruit. We laugh every week!! Now he actually has to come up with new fruits to guess.
Love you so much already, little girl!

Now, let all the monograming begin...

I just got home from a fun trip to Little Rock visiting my family and old friends! I have not been back to Little Rock since Tyler and I moved to Dallas earlier this Spring, so it was great to get back and see some of my people.

My mom called me last week and told me they would be visiting and asked if I wanted to come join them, of course I did! I told her I had lots of places to eat and people to see while I was there. It was so fun getting to see my family and friends and I started a "Little Rock Food Tour" highlighting all of my favorite old places. I had to leave town suddenly to get back to Dallas, but I was thankful I packed in as much as I did from Saturday- Tuesday! Also, this was my first time to be away from our sweet cavapups- like ever! I was constantly texting Tyler for picture and video updates. He did a great job taking care of them, but he claims they were taking advantage of him! barking for treats and tricking him into extra walks... I laughed so hard!! They were so excited to see me when I walked in last night, and I swore they grew while I was gone for three nights!

My parents and brother were visiting for the Free Will Baptist National convention, and while they were in town I got to catch up with them and lots of old friends. There is something funny about being pregnant and craving things you can't have, I assume this is just a totally normal thing! But I knew I had to get back to LR before too long- I had my favorite salads, the best Mexican food ever, and even CFA Chicken Minis FOR DINNER!!!! If you have been following along, you know that CFA is my go-to and I was crushed when I found out Little Rock was one of the THREE locations selected nationally to serve chicken minis ALL DAY! I was like, what are the odds that I get pregnant and move away just in time for this?! Anyway, it was actually one of our first stops once we were in town!

If you are ever in Little Rock, or are still following along from the 501 here are places I just can't seem to live without! While I was in town we went to US Pizza, Zazas, Slims, Marks Do-nuts in NLR, Doe's Steakhouse, La Hacienda, and The Meteor coffee shop! My parents are on track to hit Sammantha's, The Capital for pimento cheese, Heights taco and tamale and Bruno's Little Italy downtown! I love going to local places, and I think these are some of the best around :)

Although I wasn't in town long, I really appreciated my time and had the best time catching up with friends. Here are a few pictures from my trip!
A few of my favorite Book Club girls met me at The Meteor for coffee! It was so fun to see my friends now that I am bumpin with baby B!!
Quick pic with Mom and Zane as we were headed out the door for church services on Sunday!
PS I am always so thirsty now... hello almost month six of pregnancy!!
Zane ate his weight in steak, and we had the best time at Doe's!
Parking lot pic with some of my favorite friends! La Hacienda was so much fun!
I am sure if you follow me on insta you saw the "Little Rock Food Tour" so. much. fun.
Now I am home to Tyler and the sweet cavapups!

On Friday we go in for the 24 week appointment to check in on Baby B, cannot believe how fast time is flying! Beyond getting ready for baby, Tyler and I have so much going on right now - It is my daily prayer to remember to be thankful and grateful for each and every day. I hope you will join me in remembering how much we have to be thankful for!

My favorite dress from last football season is back in stock, and it is so cute!
I wore this dress for the 4th of July and I was so excited when I realized it was back in stock and was JUST MARKED DOWN! I ordered in the red version, because #GOHOGS but it also comes in a cute blue and emerald as well.

As you can see- the bump is really bumpin these days!
I hit 22 weeks, marking five and a half months on Friday. It has really been all of a sudden with me showing- I am still wearing my closet pre-pregnancy, but these days I have to be more selective on what I can put on! Thankfully this dress is very forgiving, and was so cozy even pregnant!

Here is a look at how I styled it last fall in Fayetteville//
Last football season in Fayetteville with my friend Kayla at the game! This dress was perfect for a weekend on the hill, and was so easy to style for gameday
I seriously L O V E the smocked detail on the top!
Another gameday pic- with my friends daughter!! Isn't she precious in that smocked dress?! I am so excited because Baby B is only two weeks apart from her soon-to-be little brother! It is so fun being pregnant at the same time as friends... just wish we all lived closer together.

This past weekend Tyler and I enjoyed time together in Dallas. We have both been on the go so much lately that it was nice to hang out here. We drove around on Saturday looking at potential neighborhoods for the future! This week I have been working on Baby B things and can't wait to update yall with all the cuteness!

YUM! One of our favorite week night dishes is chicken stir fry. This has been something I have been *perfecting* since we got married! Tyler laughed when I scanned the WOK onto our registry (I remember, because he made fun of me) Needless to say, he is now very pleased we own one now! I thought I would share this episode of the Kitchen Diaries over the weekend, just in time for you to include the ingredients on your weekly grocery list!

This is something that I started making with just ramen noodles, and its evolved since then. The great thing about stir fry is you can make it with our without meat and honestly you can use any veggies you have! I like to make this on a week I am also grilling out so I can split the veggies up- that way I have more of an assortment, but don't feel bad about wasting produce. To be totally honest, the game changer with this dish is the sesame oil- if you are not using it, your food won't have the right taste!

ps- if you want to add chicken you can either use a roto chicken, or for more flavor I cook boneless skinless chicken breast marinated in garlic, soy sauce, and TJ sweet chili sauce! Once it has cooked I shred and add to the stir fry at the same time as the noodles.
